This is the 34th season of AMA Supercross racing. The first AMA Supercross race took place at Daytona. Pierre Karsmakers was the first rider in history to win an AMA Supercross race. He did so aboard a Yamaha. Karsmakers won the first AMA Supercross championship Since 74, 454 rounds of AMA Supercross have taken place. The class started in 1985 On January 26, 1985, Todd Campbell won the first-ever AMA Supercross Lites main event in San Diego on a Kawasaki. There have been 333 rounds of AMA Supercross Lites class racing.
