SPEEDWAY NEWS - 28 DECEMBER
28 December 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

EDINBURGH have completed their 2007 team building by signing local lad Andrew Tully at reserve.

Monarchs co-promoter John Campbell said: “Andrew was begging us to give him the chance to race for us and we are happy to do so.

“Although we initially considered more experienced riders such as Aidan Collins, we did that with some reservation as we do believe Andrew’s time could be now.”

SPEEDWAY 2

REDCAR co-promoter Glyn Taylor has pulled the plug on their winter event this Saturday.

The grasstrack on shale meeting failed to attract enough competitors to the South Tees Motorsport Park.

Said Taylor: “We issued supplementary regulations for this meeting and have had a very poor response from the riders. I would like to thank the Pickering Club for their efforts on our behalf.”
