23 December 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 TEENAGE Dane Morten Risager is keen to make up for lost time after agreeing his contract for next season with Coventry. Risager''s 2006 campaign effectively ended when he broke his leg and wrist in a crash in Poland in early June. He said: ''Coventry is my home in England, I couldn''t imagine riding for anyone else and I''m hoping to have an injury-free season and get back to my best.'' SPEEDWAY 2 REDCAR have confirmed the return of 1992 World Champion Gary Havelock to lead the Bears'' assault on next season''s Premier League. The experienced Havelock was a huge success on Teesside this year having started his career at the former Cleveland Park circuit. Co-promoter Gareth Rogers said: ''Gary''s contribution is not only measured in terms of his points scoring, but also his mentoring of his young team as club captain.''
