INFINITY FOREMAN WINS AWARD
31 December 2006 - Infinity Motorcycles
Motorcycle technician from Farnborough is the best in UK
The Workshop Foreman at Infinity Motorcycles in Farnborough has won the coveted Suzuki Technician of the Year Award. Julian Cameron (46) has worked with motorcycles at the same Farnborough site for nearly 30 years and has entered and won many manufacturer technician competitions in that time. However his prize from Suzuki is the best yet - the choice of either a GSX-R750 superbike or a Suzuki Swift car! “It means a huge amount to me,” smiles Cameron. “It was a real test of the day-to-day skills you need to employ in the modern motorcycle workshop, testing your knowledge of electronics, computer aided diagnostics, tracking faults and rebuilding a crankshaft.” Competitors had to complete a selection of web-based tests, which required considerable research, with the top ten out of 200 making it to the finals. Infinity Motorcycles is the UK’s biggest chain of motorcycle and accessory stores, whose head office is located in the North Camp area on Lynchford Road. This has been a good year for the Company – their Mail Order Department was voted the UK’s best overall in the Rider Power Survey, in which 10,000 motorcyclists participated, and the Chelsea branch was short listed for a prestigious Motor Cycle News Award too.
