18 December 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association

SPEEDWAY 1

OLLY Allen has agreed terms to return to Coventry next season after a successful first year at Brandon.

Allen re-joins the Bees on loan from Swindon and becomes the fourth rider to be confirmed by the Cup holders.

Co-promoter Colin Pratt said: ''Olly did a very good job for us last season and it is nice to be able to reward him for that with a new deal.''

SPEEDWAY 2

DANISH star Charlie Gjedde is delighted to be back at Swindon and believes the Robins can make a real challenge for the Elite League title.

Gjedde was loaned out to Reading in 2006, the Bulldogs just missing out on the Championship in a dramatic Final.

He said: ''It certainly looks a very strong team on paper, but we must not be complacent and the team spirit has to be good.''
