SPEEDWAY 1 COVENTRY have signed their top three riders from last season to lead them into 2007. British Grand Prix star Scott Nicholls will again skipper the Bees with rising stars Chris Harris and Rory Schlein also confirmed. Talks are ongoing with other riders. Bees co-boss Peter Oakes said: ''We were all agreed that it would have been absolutely stupid to dismantle a top three with such enormous potential.'' SPEEDWAY 2 MILDENHALL''S future has been secured after loyal supporter Simon Barton bought into the cluib alongside West Row owner Carl Harris and current promoter Mick Horton. And the club have revealed how King''s Lynn owner Keith Chapman showed an interest in taking over. Harris said: ''I''m confident we can pull this club around, hence my involvement.'' SPEEDWAY 3 SHEFFIELD have completed their team for next season by agreeing new deals with Ricky Ashworth, Ben Wilson and Paul Cooper. The trio will be joined by skipper Andre Compton, new signings Joel Parsons and James Cockle and reserve James Birkinshaw at Owlerton. Club owner Neil Machin said: ''I''m delighted with the way the team has come together and can''t wait for the start of the new season.''
