SPEEDWAY 1 HENNING Bager has joined Arena-Essex in a permanent switch from Glasgow. Bager, who spent last season on loan at Purfleet, joins Jonas Kylmakoorpi as a confirmed starter in the Hammers'' 2007 Elite League team. Said Bager: ''Everything about Arena Essex is perfect for me, it''s always well prepared and a track I enjoy racing at. There was never any doubt about me signing for the club.'' SPEEDWAY 2 SHEFFIELD have moved a step closer towards finalising their 2007 Premier League team with the signing of Joel Parsons. Parsons, a Sheffield asset after the club bought all the former Hull riders, won the treble with the Vikings in 2004 and raced for Newport last season. Tigers owner Neil Machin said: ''Joel''s attitude is very refreshing, he actually wants to ride for the club and he''s like a breath of fresh air.''
