FEATURES AND BENEFITS: ENGINE High performance 2-stroke engine Exhaust and transfer ports shaped for top end power. The exhaust is tuned to help boost top-end power. The cylinder is bolted directly to the crankcase and the head to the cylinder for increased durability under race conditions. Electrofusion lined cylinder improves heat transfer, is porous to hold lubrication and is hard to resist wear. Fuel system 24 mm Mikuni carburettor and 4-petal reed valve give excellent throttle response and an even spread of power and torque. Digital Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) Digital ignition timing is used to give better response across the rev range. TRANSMISSION Multi-plate clutch A smooth action and feel result from the specially coated steel multi-plate clutch. The clutch basket and hub are fastened with a circlip instead of a bolt to ease servicing. 6-speed transmission The ends of the shift forks are hard-chrome finished for durability. A short shift lever keeps the shift throw short for quick shifts. The shift drum rides on roller bearings for smooth shifting. CHASSIS High-tensile steel semi-double cradle frame Thick backbone tubing and a reinforced downtube provide strength, durability and great stability. Large cast steel footpegs are designed to resist bending in the case of a fall and offer great grip. A removable left side rear frame piece eases airbox and shock servicing. Conventional 33 mm front fork Front fork spring rates and damping settings reduce bottoming for more aggressive riding. Large 33 mm inner tubes assure rigidity for great handling on rough tracks. Uni-Trak ® rear suspension The bottom link design keeps the weight low for a lower centre of gravity, which makes the bike feel lighter and easier to handle. The rear shock has 4-way adjustable rebound damping, a stiff spring and damping settings to accommodate more aggressive riders. External reservoir cools the shock fluid, increasing fade resistance to help keep damping consistent. Front and rear disc brakes Single 180 mm front and rear discs with single piston calipers ensure excellent stopping power and feel. Aluminium front and rear wheel rims Aluminium rims reduce unsprung weight and their strength adds durability.
