FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

ENGINE

High performance 2-stroke engine

A liquid cooled single cylinder engine with chrome composite plating on the bore ensures consistent engine performance.

Kawasaki Integrated Powervalve System

KIPS varies the exhaust port height to broaden the useful rpm range for good low and mid-range without sacrificing top-end power.

Fuel system

Mikuni TMX38x carburettor features an arched slide, 38 to 40 mm tapered bore, fuel collection chamber and semi air bleed needle jet for excellent throttle response and top-end power.

Exhaust system

Expansion chamber designed to increase power in the mid and top-range and also improve the riding position.

Digital Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI)

Ignition timing gives idealised ignition at all rpm preventing irregular combustion improving power and reliability across the range. High capacity igniter condenser gives a strong spark to further strengthen low to mid-range response. A short style spark plug eases maintenance.

TRANSMISSION

6-speed transmission

A ratchet-type shift mechanism for excellent shift response and feel. A double bearing design on the chain roller for durability.

CHASSIS

High-tensile steel perimeter frame

High footpeg design improves riding position and increases the bank angle and ground clearance.

Inverted 48 mm front fork

48 mm inverted cartridge type fork with 16 way compression and rebound damping adjustment. Low friction oil seals are used for a smooth action.

Uni-Trak ® rear suspension

Uni-Trak ® rear suspension offers superb traction and smooth suspension action across the whole stroke in a lightweight and compact suspension package. 16 way compression and rebound damping with spring preload adjustment to tune suspension to all conditions. The rear swingarm has thick walls in the hydorformed main tube to enhance stability and handling.

Front and rear disc brakes

A single 250 mm semi-floating front disc with twin piston caliper and a single 240 mm rear disc with single piston caliper ensure excellent stopping power and feel. Petal shaped brake discs are used on the front and rear. The wave shape helps clean the brake pads and reduces unsprung weight. Solid petal discs are available as an option for wet races.

Detail features

A flat seat shape improves rider mobility while the two tone urethane material has the top textured for grip, and smooth sides for movement. Works style aluminium Renthal straight handlebar contributes to weight reduction. On the fly clutch adjuster allows mid race adjustments.
