SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 17.10.04
17 October 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

IPSWICH star Chris Louis feels the Witches can round off the season in style by beating Poole in the Knockout Cup Final.

The Suffolk club were beaten in the play-offs by Wolverhampton in a semi-final run-off after a strong campaign. Louis said: ''We felt that if we had edged beyond Wolves in the play-offs we would have beaten Poole in the final, and now we have a chance to prove it.''

KING''S Lynn boss Buster Chapman has backed teenage star James Brundle to return to action better than ever next season. Brundle missed a large part of Lynn''s Premier League campaign with injuries sustained in a serious road crash. Chapman said: ''He''ll be all right for next year, no problem. He''s only young, and has showed he can do it.''
