2007 MAZDA RACEWAY LAGUNA SECA AMA CLASSES
Officials from AMA Pro Racing and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca have announced that the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix will feature AMA Superbike and AMA Supersport classes along with the FIM MotoGP class. The combined event will be held on July 20-22, 2007 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. The second AMA Championship event to be held at the track in 2007 will be on Sept. 15-16 and will feature all four AMA classes: the AMA Superbike Championship presented by Parts Unlimited, the Pro Honda Oils Supersport Championship presented by Shoei, the Lockhart Phillips USA Formula Xtreme Series and the Repsol Lubricants Superstock Series. About Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and SCRAMP Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca was built in 1957 and has been operated since its inception by the Sports Car Racing Association of the Monterey Peninsula (SCRAMP). The world-renowned 2.238-mile, 11-turn permanent road course has seen many of the all-time greats in motorsports grace its technically challenging layout that includes the spectacular signature Corkscrew (Turns 8 and 8A).
