SPEEDWAY 1 DAVID Howe is Wolverhampton''s first winter signing after agreeing terms with the club. Howe returns to Monmore Green after a season on loan at Oxford. He rejected a move to Premier League Edinburgh. Wolves owner Chris Van Straaten said: ''David did have some thoughts of dropping out of the Elite League, but I feel that would have been an absolute travesty. People forget he is still just 24, he has plenty to offer and we are delighted to welcome him back.'' SPEEDWAY 2 FORMER Grand Prix rider Jason Lyons is Birmingham''s number one rider for the revival of the club next season. Lyons, who has spent the bulk of his career with Belle Vue, will ride alongside Emiliano Sanchez and Brent Werner at Perry Barr. Brummies boss Graham Drury said: ''He''s mixed it with the best and I expect him to be up there challenging for top spot in the Premier League.''
