CHECK OUT THE SACHS X-ROAD NEW 6-SPEED 125CC ENGINE
11 December 2006 - SACHS Bikes
The Sachs X-Road gets a stunning new 6-speed engine for 2007, yet incredibly it will sell for £700 less than when first introduced to the range in 2005.
The distinctive air and oil cooled 125cc engine was designed for Sachs by Morini Franco Motori of Italy and not only complies with tough Euro 3 emissions requirements, but produces more than 13 HP. This combines with a light weight of 121.5kg to produce an agile and responsive motorcycle that is ideally suited to novice riders. Effective stopping power is delivered by a 320mm front hydraulic disc brake, backed up by a 215mm hydraulic unit at the rear. Off-road style bikes are popular with learner riders, not only because of their appearance but also because their wide handlebars and upright riding position give learners a feeling of confidence and control. Sachs have chosen to equip the X-Road with 17” wheels front and rear, fitted with relatively fat road style tyres for optimum road holding. With its prominent red trellis frame, under seat oval exhaust system and tri-spoke wheels, the Sachs X-Road 125 offers learner riders an affordable opportunity to take to the roads on an exciting machine from a brand with an impressive European pedigree (Sachs is Germany’s oldest surviving motorcycle manufacturer). It is available in UK dealer showrooms now in matt black/red and sells for just £2,499- on the road. Sachs motorcycles offer a very competitive insurance scheme through their long term insurance partner MCE, telephone: 0870 01-01-125.
