SPEEDWAY 1 JASON Crump is in the middle of a transfer battle between Poole, favourites to sign him, and an unnamed Elite League club. Belle Vue boss Tony Mole has rejected offers from Poole for the world champion and revealed that another club has been given permission to talk to him. He said: ''Poole''s offers have been rejected as insufficient. They will be denied permission to speak to Jason until an acceptable offer is received.'' SPEEDWAY 2 STOKE have signed Ben Barker for the 2007 Premier League season - after impressing in their Conference side. He said: ''I hoped I''d done enough to get asked back and I was over the moon when Dave Tattum called. ''We did a deal in no time at all and I''m really excited about riding for the Potters. I really enjoyed my time there last season and feel it''s somewhere I can improve.''
