SPEEDWAY 1

OXFORD are hoping to have their complete team in place for the 2007 season by Christmas.

The Cowley club have so far made no signings but they are holding talks with several riders.

And they''ve confirmed a public meeting at the stadium for Wednesday December 20 when it is hoped they will reveal both their Elite and Conference League teams for the new season which starts in March.

SPEEDWAY 2

BIRMINGHAM are close to unveiling their number one rider for next season.

Brummies boss Graham Drury has confirmed a deal is in place with a rider who has international experience to add to Brent Werner and Emiliano Sanchez who were confirmed last week.

He said: ''When the Birmingham fans see who we''ve signed I feel sure they''ll be very happy. I''m pleased with team building so far.''
