NEIL IS SALESPERSON OF THE YEAR
09 November 2006 - Honda (UK)
Neil Morris from Lancaster Honda has done the double by scooping two major Honda sales awards for 2006.
Neil not only won Sales Person of the Year for Motorcycles, but also won the overall Sales Person of the Year award, which encompasses cars as well as motorcycles. To win, Neil had to complete a series of exercises in product presentation, product knowledge, a quiz, product handover and complete a number of written exercises on Honda’s ‘Power of Dreams’ ethos. Neil beat last year’s motorcycle winner Guy Steel of Chiswick Honda and last year''s overall winner Mark Weaver of Avonvale Honda. Neil said: ''It was great to win both awards on the night. Lancaster Honda prides themselves on the ability of the sales team to provide the best advice to customers, rather than sell millions of motorcycles. They want customers to feel confident that I, and the rest of the team will assist them in purchasing the bike that suits them best. That’s something we certainly strive to achieve at Lancaster Honda.'' Neil has a long connection with motorcycles and motorcycle racing. He is son of David Morris, a racer and renowned engineer, who won two British single-cylinder titles and three TT races. Following the tragic death of both their parents, Neil and Lee re-formed Chrysalis Racing – the team run by Alison and Dave – and went back to the TT to win the 2000 Singles TT with John McGuinness. Neil has also used his racing connections to help promote the sale of John McGuinness HM Plant Fireblade replicas.
