SPEEDWAY 1 ARENA-ESSEX have completed a new deal with Joonas Kylmakorpi for next season. He returns to Purfleet for a second successive season on loan from Eastbourne with a view to making the move permanent. He said: ''There had been a lot of other interest but when I spoke with Stuart Douglas there was never any question that I would be back at Arena. He has a vision for this club and I want to be part of it.'' SPEEDWAY 2 CHRIS Holder has turned down the chance of a full-time move into the Elite League with Poole. The talented Australian wants another season in the Premier League and he could be set to return to the Isle of Wight. Poole co-boss Matt Ford said: ''Chris is a world champion in the making and our fans will just have to wait another 12-months before seeing him in action for us.'' SPEEDWAY 3 BIRMINGHAM have signed Brent Werner and Emiliano Sanchez to start their team-building. Werner suffered an injury-hit 2006 with Mildenhall and Sanchez was a regular with Sheffield. Both will ride at Perry Barr in the club''s comeback year after a 20-year absence. Brummies chief Graham Drury said: ''This is a very solid start to our team building and I''m also close to completing a deal for our number one rider.'' SPEEDWAY 4 SCUNTHORPE have confirmed the appearance of 11-time Isle of Man TT winner John McGuinness at their Christmas Cracker meeting on December 30. McGuinness will be up against former Sheffield rider Lee Complin in the event which features Shorttrack races and quad speedway. One of the organisers, Peter Boast, said: ''To make it easier for the speedway riders, they can use a speedway tyre on the back of a motorcross bike.''
