SPEEDWAY 1 BJARNE Pedersen is staying at Poole as captain for next season - despite the imminent arrival of world champion Jason Crump. Pedersen, a Danish World Cup winner, was linked with a move to Belle Vue as part of the Crump deal. Pirates chief Matt Ford said: ''Bjarne is going nowhere. We''ve already signed a deal that will keep him at Poole and we are not the type of club to go back on our word.'' SPEEDWAY 2 BELLE VUE owner Tony Mole has given Poole permission to open negotiations with want-away World champion Jason Crump. He had issued a ''hands off'' warning to interested clubs until Crump submitted a formal transfer request which has now arrived. Mole said: ''We have to look after our own interests. That means getting a good deal because we will need the money to strengthen our side for next season.'' SPEEDWAY 3 RISING star James Wright is Belle Vue''s second signing for the 2007 campaign, following Joe Screen. The 20-year-old will have his second season in the Elite League with the Aces and has also agreed to double up with Premier League Workington. Belle Vue team boss Ian Thomas said: ''James is looking forward to next season already after having a good year and I''m positive he''s got a big future.''
