SPEEDWAY 1 SHEFFIELD skipper Andre Compton has taken up the year''s option on his contract and will again lead the Tigers in 2007. Compton will also have an input into the club''s other team decisions, with changes inevitable for them to comply with the points limit. Tigers co-promoter Neil Machin said: ''Andre is aware we have some hard decisions to make, and he is determined to see the team as strong as possible.'' SPEEDWAY 2 PETERBOROUGH have landed their first major team sponsorship deal for several seasons by linking up with MRI Overseas Property. The company''s Chairman Darragh Macanthony is also the new Chairman and likely owner in the future of Peterborough Utd FC. Macanthony said: ''I am very excited that we have created this partnership and I am looking forward to seeing the team defend their title next season.''
