ARENA-ESSEX owner Stuart Douglas has refuted speculation that the Hammers are to sign top Swede Andreas Jonsson for next season.
The Coventry asset had a brief spell in Arena colours last year but does not plan to make a full-time Elite League return.
Douglas said: ''With his already heavy schedule, Andreas is unable to commit himself to a full season with the Hammers, so I have to look at other options.''

WOLVES promoter Chris Van Straaten has admitted for the first time that he had to ''build bridges'' with skipper Peter Karlsson last season.
Van Straaten had been unable to include his 2006 Rider Of The Year in his team plans for the previous two seasons.
He said: ''We''re fine again now, PK loves it here at Wolverhampton and I very much hope we can reach an agreement for his return.''
