SPEEDWAY 1 PREMIER League treble winners King''s Lynn have wasted no time in completing their team plans for next season. >From last season''s triumphant side Tomas Topinka, Chris Mills, Daniel Nermark, Trevor Harding and John Oliver are retained and ex-Lynn men Paul Lee and James Brundle join them. Stars manager Rob Lyon said: ''Only time will tell if we have got it right, but I believe it gives us a great chance again.'' SPEEDWAY 2 GLASGOW have unveiled former favourite George Stancl in a shock move for next season. Stancl, who spent last season on loan at Newcastle, completed a deal quickly after last weekend''s AGM of all club bosses. Tigers co-promoter Stewart Dickson said: ''It''s a pleasant surprise to have George back with us, he is our asset and yet we almost took it for granted that he wanted to stay with Newcastle!'' SPEEDWAY 3 FORMER Grand Prix rider Carl Stonehewer has announced his retirement at the age of 34. The Workington legend, who had been offered a 2007 contract, now has business interests outside of the sport along with a new job. He said: ''There was no way I was going to walk away from the job and the business, so after talking to my whole family it wasn''t hard to reach my decision.'' SPEEDWAY 4 THE Speedway Riders'' Association have unveiled a sponsorship deal with Teng Tools, one of the leading suppliers of hand tools around Europe. Every SRA member will be sponsored with a considerable discount on products throughout next season. They current have over 70 riders using Teng Tools. SRA bosses hope the deal with encourage all riders to join and help build on their relationship with British Speedway promoters.
