22 November 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 BERWICK have continued their rapid team building by agreeing a deal with Polish star Stanislaw Burza to remain at Shielfield Park. Burza was a success in his first season with the Bandits and the news ends speculation of interest from other clubs. Promoter Peter Waite said: ''Stan was always one of my big 2007 targets, he is a fine asset to the club and we''re delighted he''s back.'' SPEEDWAY 2 KING''S Lynn promoter Keith Chapman has hinted that the Stars are likely to offer new contracts to both reserves from their title-winning team. The Premier League Champions will be forced into changes as they finished well above the 40-point limit last season. Chapman said: ''It isn''t as bad as some people will think, and it does mean Chris Mills and John Oliver will be at the top of our shopping list.''
