SPEEDWAY 1

WOLVERHAMPTON owner Chris Van Straaten is set to hold talks with his current top three riders this week.
Van Straaten wants to keep skipper Peter Karlsson, Fredrik Lindgren and Billy Hamill after the sport''s AGM set a points limit of 42.5 for team building.
Said Van Straaten: ''The limit means we can keep our top three and both myself and Pete Adams (team manager) very much hpe we can do that for next season.''

SPEEDWAY 2

SHEFFIELD boss Neil Machin has vowed to build a championship challenging team next season - despite having to lose at least one of last season''s squad.
The Premier League points limit has been set at 40 which means changes are inevitable at Owlerton.
Machin said: ''I can assure our supporters that we will have a team capable of challenging for silverware once again.''
