18 November 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 NEW Somerset promoter Mike Golding hopes to appoint Mick Bell''s successor as Rebels manager as soon as possible. Bell, who would have been offered the role again, has ended his involvement at the Oak Tree Arena due to the travelling distance from his home in Banbury. Golding said: ''I would like to think that an announcement on Mick''s replacement can be made in the near future.'' SPEEDWAY 2 KING''S Lynn skipper Tomas Topinka wants the chance to lead the club in their defence of their Premier League trophies next season. The Stars are likely to be forced into team changes depending on the outcome of this weekend''s BSPA AGM. Topinka said: ''Unless the rules change, then we will have to change. I haven''t a clue who will stay and who will go, but I want to be back.''
