MotoLive crowns Fabio Lenzi as Italian Trial champion
Fabio Lenzi was crowned the new Italian Trial champion at the EICMA 2006 show after winning his category in the MotoLive outdoor arena. He was the best in the terrible conditions as the riders struggled on the difficult course, trying to avoid crashing. The Italian Police national trial team was also in action, including Diego Bosis using his Montesa 4 speed as Italian and international riders entertained the huge crowds in the MotoLive outdoor arena. The public moved from one track to another during the day so as not to miss a single race or exhibition. On the Motorcross circuit world champion Bernd Hiemer and Belgium’s Gerald Delepine dominated the Supermoto S1 class, with Italy’s Massimo Manzo fourth. The public loved the action as wheels slid out but the pilots stayed up thanks to their excellent handling skills. Their suits got dirty with mud but the adrenalin flowed and the bikes kept jumping to the cheers of the crowd. The music kept pumping thanks to Radio Italia, while girlfriends and wives followed their partners as they tested the latest new bikes and learnt the secrets of riding powerful bikes. It was raining but nobody noticed as there was just too much passion for two-wheels to damped people’s spirits.
