YAMAHA LAUNCHES THE FIFTH EDITION OF THE R1

EICMA International Motorcycle Show in Milan, Italy

Yamaha’s new R1 it is even more aggressive looking and even more sporting. This fifth edition of one of the great sports bikes is all new while still keeping the great feel of the past. It has a new engine, now with a four valves per cylinder (in titanium) and has variable injection dimensions.

The electronic acceleration is also new as is the frame and front and rear fork. Now the brakes have two 310 disk up front with radial pins and six mini pistons. The body has also been redesigned with wings to direct airflow like on the R6.

At the Yamaha stand there is also the new tourer FZ6 and Fazer in the S2 version. They both have an aluminium frame, a new fork, saddle and the indication panel comes from the Fz1.

The Fazer is the different from the naked because of the head. The lights are positioned low down and the front reduced.

The old version will stay in production with 78HP while the new S2 will have 98. Both are Euro 3.

The X-City is Yamaha’s new maxiscooter with high profile wheels making it ideal for the city.

It is fast and agile thanks to a 250cc engine. The X-City has large storage area under the saddle.

The T-Max maxi scooter has been redesigned with two limited editions: Black Max and Night Max.

The first is in matt black with silver details, while the second is deep blue and has a two-colour saddle. Both have a three dimensional Yamaha logo on the sides.
