POOLE are hoping to unveil a new signing within the next week.

The Elite League giants are determined to bounce back after a disappointing 2006 campaign by their own high standards - and changes are almost certain.

Co-owner Matt Ford said: ''The signing will be one that we believe will genuinely excite our fans. If a deal goes through he will take his place in our 2007 team.''

SPEEDWAY 2

OXFORD owner Colin Horton is urging fans to match the ambition of the club.

Horton has grand plans in place for winter team building and wants to see the Cheetahs reach next season''s play-offs after buying the club from Aaron Lanney.

He said: ''We are putting the right things in place, it is now up to the fans to get behind us and take the Cheetahs forward.''
