NEW Somerset co-promoter Mike Golding says he wants skipper Magnus Zetterstrom to remain as the club''s No.1 next season.

The Swede is an asset of Golding''s Elite League operation at Poole and has been a huge success in his two years at the Oak Tree Arena.

Golding said: ''I would very much like Zorro to spearhead the team again, and I will have talks with him when he returns from holiday.''

SPEEDWAY 2

EDINBURGH have been boosted by the renewal of their deal with main team sponsors Scotwaste for next season.

Company boss Stewart Melrose announced the news at last weekend''s annual dinner-dance after talks with the Monarchs'' promotion.

Club chairman Alex Harkness said: ''It''s great news that Scotwaste are back with us again and it certainly makes the winter easier for us.''
