SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 13.10.04
13 October 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

JOHN Perrin is on the verge of leaving Belle Vue as the club have confirmed they will have new owners next season. A share issue which was intended to keep Perrin at the helm has now been dropped. Perrin, alongside former world champion and Bellle Vue legend Peter Collins, was responsible for taking the Aces to Kirkmanshulme Lane in 1988 after the demolition of their former Hyde Road home.

SCOTLAND boss Alan Robertson is urging home fans to show their colours when they face England Under-21''s at Edinburgh''s Armadale Stadium on Friday. Any supporter with a reasonable sized flag will be handed a £1 reduction in admission. Robertson said: ''We want everyone to let our boys know they are behind us. I hope everyone at Armadale will back the Scottish team as we''ll need as much backing as possible.''
