APPEARANCE FOR ORANGE COUNTY CHOPPER
28 October 2006 - International Motorcycle and Scooter Show
Orange County Chopper cross Atlantic to appear at the 2006 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show
Three of the most stunning ‘concept bikes’ from the hit TV programme American Chopper have been wowing the crowds on the first full public day of this year’s International Motorcycle and Scooter Show at the Birmingham NEC. Visitors to the Show still have the chance over the coming eight days to get up close and personal with the world famous Orange County Chopper Bikes before the Show closes on 5th November. The Lincoln Bike from the latest series, as well as the New York Jets Bike and the Old School Project II Bike from the very first series will all be on display for the duration of the Show. The immensely successful series, which has been running for over two years on the Discovery Channel across Europe, has proved to be popular amongst biking and non-biking fans alike, who have enjoyed following the Teutul family as they struggle against deadlines and unforeseen problems to assemble the incredible themed bikes on time. All three of the OCC Choppers will be on display at the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, chrome polished to perfection on the Carole Nash stand. Visitors can get their hands on the latest range of OCC and American Chopper merchandise at the Motorcyclegifts.co.uk stand, as well as being able to build their own Chopper with the Teutul family on the new American Chopper Playstation game. Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of the NEC Bike Show organisers, MCI Exhibitions commented “American Chopper has been a huge success across Europe and it’s great to get some of the bikes all the way over to the UK for visitors to get close to. The bikes are really impressive and are sure to be a hit with fans and non-fans of the TV show.’” Tickets are still available to purchase at the Show. Standard ticket prices are £15 for adults, £13 for students, £5 for senior citizens and children between eleven and sixteen, and £35 for a family ticket. Children under the age of eleven are admitted for free.
