DINNER DANCE A BIG SUCCESS PETER Karlsson romped to Wolverhampton''s rider of the year award - and then pledged his future to the club. Karlsson got the better of Fredrik Lindgren and Billy Hamill to take the trophy at the club''s presentation dinner. He said: ''I''m going to be riding in England again next season and I would obviously like that to be with Wolverhampton. If the call comes then I will be delighted.'' The evening, which was staged at Wolverhampton''s Ramada Park Hall Hotel, was a total success with more supporters in attendance than last year. Lindgren won the Trevor Griffiths Memorial award for young rider of the year, Ronnie Correy won the Gary Peterson Memorial Trophy for most bonus points and the Stephen Paul Babb Trophy for most entertaining rider was awarded to Billy Hamill. Parrys International Wolves boss Peter Adams was in top form with his hilarious after-dinner speech and entertainer Neil Davidson was given a standing ovation for his performance which included songs from the Beatles, Oasis and Tony Christie.
