WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY NEWS
25 October 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

WOLVERHAMPTON were handed the award for the sport''s Best Prepared Track at Tuesday''s SRA Awards Ceremony.

Track curator Alan Bridgett received the award from Sky Sports presenter Sophie Blake at the event, which was staged at the Hilton in Coventry.

Bridgett commutes to Monmore Green each week from his Edinburgh base to work on the track under a tight schedule due to the other events at the stadium.
Bridgett said: ''This is nice recognition for a lot of hard work, and I am pleased for everyone at the club.

''Obviously it''s difficult to get the track perfect given the limited time that we have available to us, but this proves that a lot of people think that we are doing it right.''
