GUBAIN WINS CHAMPIONSHIP
30 October 2006 - Sherco

Another trophy has been added to the already full case of trophies won by Sherco, with the latest win by Loris Gubian in the Senior 1 category of the French Trails Championship.

The Sherco rider was able to obtain the overall title with an intelligent last lap in the race which was held in Breese. The conditions were very chaotic and complicated because of the heavy rain that fell during the entire event.

Thanks to an excellent season in which he never failed to podium, he also obtained two outright victories; Loris arrived at this event with a solid advantage of ten points over his nearest rival. This lead allowed him to enter the event with some greater tranquility than his competitors. Loris finished this event in third place which automatically gave him the overall title in front of Nicolas Karim and Julien Arnaud.

1 Loris Gubian (Sherco) 104 pts
2 Nicolás Karim (Gas Gas) 91 pts
3 Julien Arnaud (Gas Gas)
