Earlier this month, we received the unpleasant news that Jacques Coll has passed away after an arduous illness.

To this clear minded french engineer is owed the credit for the design of the complete line of motors for the Sherco trial motorcycles. When Marc Teissier began to forge the project that would propel Sherco into the forefront as one of the most important marks in the world of trial, he placed his confidence for the motor design in the very capable hands of Jacques.

From the pencil of Coll was also born the initial designs for the trial 2T as well as 4.5i. He had an enormous experience in motor design that went back to the times when he worked in the military aviation field, which was always a point of reference for all the work he did for Sherco. Rest in Peace!
