THE ROYAL ENFIELD BULLET ELECTRA CLUBMAN
26 October 2006 - Royal Enfield

Travel Club Class with Royal Enfield

Royal Enfield are proud to announce the arrival of the Bullet Electra Clubman, combining the look and sound of the classic cafe racers of the Sixties with the reliability and performance of a modern lean burn all-aluminium engine.

The Clubman is based on the popular Electra 500cc single and has been developed by Royal Enfield’s UK distributors Watsonian-Squire and includes many unique components that are British-made. Perhaps the most eye-catching feature is the 4.5-gallon polished aluminium tank, complemented by a glass fibre single seat unit. Closer inspection reveals many other period details, including ‘ace’ bars and hand made rear-set footrests, plus discreet mini indicators. The upswept ‘Gold Star’ style silencer is key to the design changes, as it allows the lean burn engine, (designed to help Royal Enfield meet stringent modern emissions controls), breathe more freely. Maximum power is boosted by 10% compared to the standard model, but owners can still expect to see fuel consumption in the region of 75MPG. The Avon Super Venom tyres give reassuring road holding, while the 280mm single front disc provides plenty of stopping power.

“The Electra Clubman is a great introduction to the joys of owning a classic British café racer with the reassurance of a modern engine, support from a dealer network and warranty,” explains Watsonian’s Peter Rivers Fletcher.

The Royal Enfield Bullet Electra Clubman sells for £4,598 on the road and the price includes a 12-month warranty.

See it at the NEC Motorcycle Show from 27 OCT – 5 Nov on stand T147 in Hall 20.
