First Complete Exhaust Kit for Performance Upgrade Introduced by SuperTrapp
SuperTrapp Industries (www.supertrapp.com) introduces the first complete all-in-one, easy-to-install high performance intake and exhaust kit. All components in the kit are boxed and manufactured by SuperTrapp to ensure exacting performance and superior compatibility. SuperTrapp SuperPak Components The 3-part SuperPak includes a SuperTrapp exhaust, plus the following performance enhancing components: FiControl™ is a digital fuel injection control unit engineered by SuperTrapp. The FiControl unit comes pre-calibrated for each specific application. The end user can also modify the pre-set curves to adjust for a variety of specific requirements. ProFilter is SuperTrapp’s own high performance air filter. The filter flows substantially more air than the stock unit while better protecting the engine from power robbing dirt and debris. SuperPak kits are available with a wide variety of SuperTrapp exhausts, including the new SE Series Slip Ons and the classic 2:1 High Performance System. Each kit is tuned for high-performance compatibility to provide a dramatic increase in usable torque and horsepower. “The real beauty of this kit,” said Kevin Berger, president of SuperTrapp, is that the Digital Fuel Management Unit, with a full-featured diagnostic mode provides improved drivability right out of the box, yet it also allows the user to make custom modifications.” Application* SuperPak™ Number Harley-Davidson Softail ’02-03 FXST/FLST 2:1 SuperMeg System 898-71454 (MSRP?) Harley-Davidson has issued a bulletin stating that any person who replaces the stock ECU on their motorcycle will be supplied with a 2005 model year ECU. Therefore, when choosing the application, it is important to know if the ECU on the motorcycle is the original ECU or a replacement. This is important to note, because the mapping characteristics are different for the 2001-2003 and 2004 UP models. For example: If owner has a 2002 Softail or FLH, but has replaced the ECU with a new 2005 model, owner will wish to choose the 2004-UP SuperPak rather than the 2002-2003 kit. Owner may check the ECU by removing the two bolts that secure the ECU to find the part number stamped on the backside. If the number reads 32534-05 it is a 2005 ECU. Any part number other than 32534-05 indicates the motorcycle is equipped with the original ECU. Choosing the wrong application will result in poor performance, and may risk engine damage. **This system controller is designed to work with the Delphi Injection System only! Harley-Davidson changed the Delphi system mid-model-year in 2001 and any bike equipped with this system can use SuperTrapp controller. The mid-2001 and earlier FLH/FLT models are equipped with a Magneti Marelli fuel injection system and the SuperTrapp controller will not work on these models.
