LATEST STATISTICS FROM CHOICEQUOTE INSURANCE

ChoiceQuote, one of the UK’s biggest on-line insurers for motorcyclists, have published the results of their annual market survey.

The figures reveal that over the period January-July 2004, compared with the same period in 2002 & 2003, the average age of motorcyclists has increased substantially. This, in turn, appears to have led to a rise in the number of large capacity machines on the road.

The information is based upon the profiles of customers who request a quote and provides a snap-shot of the current state of the market. This is in sharp contrast to the registration figures, which show sales of new machines and thus reflect only a small proportion of the overall market.
