WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY NEWS - 16TH OCTOBER
16 October 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

WOLVERHAMPTON owner Chris Van Straaten has revealed how Swede Daniel Nermark is ''under consideration'' for a team place next season.

BANKS''S OLYMPIQUE INDIVIDUAL EVENT
MONMORE GREEN STADIUM, WOLVERHAMPTON
MONDAY OCTOBER 16 - 7.30pm

Nermark is nearing the end of a sensational season on loan with runaway Premier League leaders King''s Lynn where he has already won the Premier Trophy and Knockout Cup.

Now Van Straaten has booked him to appear in Wolverhampton''s hugely popular Banks''s Olympique meeting on Monday night.

''Daniel has been in touch and once his fixtures became clearer for King''s Lynn we were able to book him in,'' said Van Straaten.

''He''s had awful injuries in his career but it appears he''s back to his best at King''s Lynn who are going to need to make changes next year. The Banks''s Olympique is a fantastic opportunity for Daniel to put himself in the shop window and Peter Adams (Parrys International Wolves team manager) and myself will be watching his performance closely.''

Former world champions Mark Loram and Billy Hamill will clash in the opening race of an event which also features brilliant British youngster Lewis Bridger and his Eastbourne colleague Adam Shields along with former Monmore favourites David Howe and Adam Skornicki.

The Banks''s Olympique also features a unique handicap racing format. When a rider wins a race, his next race will be off 20-metres. Finish second and the next outing if off 15-metres, third puts you back 10-metres. Therefore, expect plenty of passing on one of the best racetracks in the country!

AFTER THE MEETING WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY ARE PROUD TO HOST THEIR ANNUAL FIREWORK SPECTACULAR - A GREAT WAY TO END A GREAT NIGHT!
