SPEEDWAY 1

KING''S Lynn brushed aside Somerset 62-32 to win the Premier League Knockout Cup at the Norfolk Arena.

Daniel Nermark and Kevin Doolan were top scorers for the Stars with 11 and Jason Lyons, deputing for injured skipper Tomas Topinka, also performed well.

Emil Kramer was Somerset''s top man with 12 on a night when Lynn secured the double after winning the Premier Trophy earlier this season.

SPEEDWAY 2

BELLE Vue are facing an injury crisis ahead of their Elite League Knockout Cup Final second leg at Coventry on Friday.

Tom P Madsen is out after crashing in Monday''s first leg 45-45 draw, Joe Screen was ruled out last month and Kenneth Bjerre is a doubt with a foot injury.

Aces boss Ian Thomas said: ''We''re up against it but it''s up the riders to give it their best shot.''

SPEEDWAY 3
RICHIE Dennis believes Scunthorpe''s team spirit is the key to their success this season.

The Scorpions make the long journey down to Plymouth on Friday night for the first leg of the Conference League Knockout Cup Final, looking to keep the scores close for the return.

Said Dennis: ''All the lads get on really great, they all look out for each other because the more you get on, the better the team becomes.''
