WOLVERHAMPTON SPEEDWAY
10 October 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association
WOLVERHAMPTON travel to Poole as big underdogs for tonight''s Elite League title decider second leg.
The Monmore men lost 49-41 at home last Monday and it will be a major surprise if they are able to turn it around in Dorset. But manager Peter Adams insists his side will travel in a positive frame of mind despite the odds being stacked heavily against them. He said: “We know the size of the task ahead of us after losing the home leg, but speedway can be a funny sport. “We will go down to Poole in a positive frame of mind and do our very best to turn things around.” Poole boss Neil Middleditch is keeping his feet firmly on the ground despite the fact that his team have one hand on the league championship silverware. He said: “It is never over until it is over. We now have to focus very strongly on the task in hand.” Poole are on course for the league and cup double after reaching the final of the Knockout Cup at the expense of Swindon last week - including a home win when they scored over 60-points. Chris Neath continues at reserve for Wolves despite his poor performance last week as his potential replacement, Simon Stead, is still on the sidelines with a shoulder injury. Ryan Sullivan is back for Poole after missing last Monday''s meeting with a hand injury. WOLVES: Mikael Max, Adam Skornicki, David Howe, Daniel Nermark R/R, Sam Ermolenko, Chris Neath, Freddie Lindgren. POOLE: Bjarne Pedersen, Krzysztof Kasprzak, Matej Ferjan, Antonio Lindback, Ryan Sullivan, Daniel Davidsson, Magnus Zetterstrom.
