NEW MODELS UNVEILED AT INTERMOT

With just a few days to go until the Intermot International Motorcycle and Scooter Fair speculation is rife over the new models due to be unveiled by the world''s leading manufacturers.

The 5th annual show will take place between 11-15 October at the Cologne Exhibition Centre and will be the first chance for many to see what will be in the showrooms next year. On its home turf, BMW Motorrad will be proudly presenting the world premiere of five new motorcycles.

All five models are sure to come as a surprise to those taking guesses at BMW Motorrad''s next move and they are certainly designed to push the boundaries of the BMW brand even further. The younger, sportier, more adventurous side of BMW is set to take centre stage during 2007 and these five new bikes will surprise and thrill riders in equal measures.

Other highlights on the BMW Motorrad stand will include a display of the entire BMW Motorrad model line-up, including the six bikes launched in 2006: the K 1200 GT tourer; the R 1200 GS Adventure; the F 800 S/ST middleweight twins; the R 1200 S sports boxer; and the latest addition, the R 1200 R naked roadster.

Alongside the motorcycle range, key new items from the eagerly anticipated new BMW Motorrad Rider Equipment collection will be on display throughout the show. These will include the new colour options for the best-selling Streetguard 2 suit.

This year''s INTERMOT show will take place over a 120,000m² of indoor hall space and a 75,000m² outdoor area at the newly-refurbished exhibition centre. Visitors can expect stands and displays from hundreds of motorcycle and accessory manufacturers, as well as an exciting support programme of events. This will include stunt shows, enduro courses, quad riding, scooter races and a trials course. Newly crowned European Stuntriding Champion and BMW Motorrad factory rider Chris Pfeiffer will perform his incredible array of tricks and stunts on his BMW F 800 S.
