SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 10.10.04
10 October 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

NEIL Middleditch insists his Poole side still have some work to do in their Elite League Grand Final clash with Wolverhampton.

The Pirates lead 49-41 from the first leg and with home advantage on Monday they are hot favourites to take the title for a second successive season. Boss Middleditch said: “It is never over until it is over. We now have to focus very strongly on the task in hand.”

WOLVERHAMPTON manager Peter Adams admits his side are facing an uphill struggle at Poole in the Elite League Grand Final – but anything can happen. He said: “We know the size of the task ahead of us after losing the home leg, but speedway can be a funny sport. “We will go down to Poole in a positive frame of mind and do our very best to turn things around.”
