NEIL Middleditch insists his Poole side still have some work to do in their Elite League Grand Final clash with Wolverhampton.
The Pirates lead 49-41 from the first leg and with home advantage on Monday they are hot favourites to take the title for a second successive season. Boss Middleditch said: “It is never over until it is over. We now have to focus very strongly on the task in hand.” WOLVERHAMPTON manager Peter Adams admits his side are facing an uphill struggle at Poole in the Elite League Grand Final – but anything can happen. He said: “We know the size of the task ahead of us after losing the home leg, but speedway can be a funny sport. “We will go down to Poole in a positive frame of mind and do our very best to turn things around.” FIXTURES SUNDAY OCTOBER 10: YOUNG SHIELD SEMI-FINAL: Reading v Isle of Wight 6pm ASHFIELD CLASSIC: Glasgow 3pm BRITISH UNDER-15 CHAMPIONSHIP: Mildenhall 1.30 BERT HARKINS BRONZE HELMET: Mildenhall 4pm follows British Under-15 championship MONDAY OCTOBER 11: SKYBET ELITE LEAGUE PLAY-OFF FINAL 2ND LEG: Poole v Wolverhampton 7.30 CONFERENCE LEAGUE: Boston v Weymouth 7.30 WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 13: SKYBET ELITE LEAGUE: Belle Vue v Peterborough 7.45 YOUNG SHIELD SEMI-FINAL: Hull v Workington 7.30 CONFERENCE LEAGUE: Oxford v Mildenhall 7pm CONFERENCE LEAGUE KOC: Oxford v Mildenhall (follows CL meeting) LAURELS INDIVIDUAL: Wimbledon 7.30 --- *BREAKING NEWS THROUGHOUT THE DAY AVAILABLE FROM: OFFICIAL BRITISH SPEEDWAY CLUBCALL NEWSLINE 09066 555 909 (calls cost 60p/min)
