SPEEDWAY 1 READING have confirmed that Matej Zagar''s season is over after his high-speed crash in last weekend''s European Championship Final. It means the Slovenian star, who suffered neck and back injuries, will definitely miss the Elite League Grand Final at Peterborough on Monday. Bulldogs boss Jim Lynch said: ''We will go there positive as we always do. We''re determined to try to bring the trophy home for our fans.'' SPEEDWAY 2 ISLE of Wight chairman Martin Newnham is confident that his team can continue their play-off campaign by overcoming Sheffield in the semi-finals.
