PRE-MEETING favourite Lewis Bridger secured the British Under-18 Championship with a full maximum at Monmore Green on Monday. The Eastbourne rider had to come from the back on two occasions but was the fastest competitor on show and deserved his success. Scunthorpe''s Tai Woffinden dropped his only point to Bridger in Heat 11 and therefore finished second overall, with Ben Barker in third place after defeating former Wolf Cub Jack Hargreaves in a run-off, both riders having scored 12 points.
