SPEEDWAY 1

POOLE boss Neil Middleditch has taken a swipe at Swede Antonio Lindback for sitting out Thursday''s Knockout Cup semi-final with Belle Vue at Wimborne Road.

Lindback has knee problems but raced in the Polish Grand Prix at the weekend.

Said Middleditch: ''What surprises me is that Antonio was prepared to risk the knee during the Grand Prix, but declined to race for Poole in what is a very important match.''

SPEEDWAY 2

WILLIAM Lawson wants to continue a double life next season!

The talented youngster has revealed how he is happy to stay with Edinburgh, who face Glasgow in the Scottish Cup on Friday, in the Premier League and double-up with Elite League Wolverhampton.

He said: ''I haven''t signed anything, but I have been told the rules won''t change next season so hopefully I can carry on riding for Edinburgh and doubling up for Wolves.''

SPEEDWAY 3

THE top three riders in world speedway all feature in this Sunday''s mouthwatering Elite League Riders'' Championship at Poole (4pm).

Newly crowned world champion Jason Crump represents Belle Vue, runner-up Greg Hancock will carry Reading''s hopes and Nicki Pedersen will be looking for another ELRC success for Eastbourne.
