SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES - 22 SEPTEMBER
22 September 2006 - British Speedway Promoters Association
SPEEDWAY 1 POOLE star Antonio Lindback will miss the rest of the British season due to a knee injury. Lindback will undergo physiotheraphy after this weekend''s Polish Grand Prix, ruling him out of the Pirates'' Knockout Cup and Craven Shield campaigns. Promoter Mike Golding said: ''We have to accept not only Anton''s, but the specialist''s, opinion on his knee and would not want him to suffer any long term problems.'' SPEEDWAY 2 PAUL Pickering will make an emotional return to Stoke at Paul Clews''s Testimonial meeting on Saturday. Pickering cannot race due to the horrific arm injury he suffered 18 months ago but is assured of a hero''s welcome from the Potters fans. Clews said: ''Paul gave me all the help and advice I needed, he was a great captain and it will be very special to see him back.''
