20 September 2006 - Wolverhampton Speedway

MAGNUS Karlsson has been given compassionate leave by Wolverhampton to be at the birth of his child in Sweden.

Karlsson will miss tonight''s Elite League trip to Poole as he rides in a Swedish league play-off fixture - and won''t return to England until next month.

Club owner Chris Van Straaten said: ''We were happy to free Magnus for the play-offs in Sweden once we were out of contention here.

''And we have granted him compassionate leave as he is due to become a father so he will miss our three Craven Shield meetings next week.''

Matthieu Tressarieu comes in for the trip to Dorset tonight as Wolverhampton defend a 12-point lead for the aggregate bonus point. It is their final league outing of the season.

WOLVERHAMPTON: Peter Karlsson, Ronnie Correy, Christian Hefenbrock, Billy Hamill, Fredrik Lindgren, William Lawson, Matthieu Tresarrieu.
