SUPERBIKE AT SILVERSTONE THIS COMING WEEKEND
12 September 2006 - Airwaves Ducati

AIRWAVES DUCATI LOOKING MINT IN BLACK

Championship leading team Airwaves Ducati will look a little different when they compete in round 12 of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Silverstone this weekend as they become the Black Mint Airwaves Ducati team.

Most commonly recognised for their distinctive red team colours the Airwaves Ducati team will this week be all in black. Championship leader Leon Haslam and his team mate Gregorio Lavilla will be racing on Black Mint Ducati 999F06’s to celebrate the launch of the new Airwaves Black Mint flavour chewing gum.

With the title chase at a crucial point all eyes will be on the Black Mint Airwaves Ducati’s as they aim to continue their recent winning form which saw them do the double at Cadwell Park in the last round.

Airwaves Black Mint is the latest addition to the second best selling gum brand in the UK. The sugar free product delivers a unique menthol kick with an aniseed and mint flavour for consumers who love an invigorating mouth freshening experience.

To celebrate the launch of this exciting new product Wrigley’s Airwaves are giving Superbike fans the chance to win the worlds only Official Airwaves Black Mint Ducati 749 mono in this month’s edition of GQ magazine. The competition prize also includes Black Mint Merchandise signed by Airwaves Ducati riders Leon Haslam and Gregorio Lavilla and a KEF Home Cinema speaker system. As part of the GQ feature you can also get to know the team a little better as they give an exclusive insight into their preparation for a British Superbike race.

As the Airwaves Ducati team head into the penultimate round of the championship currently lying in 1st and 2nd, riders Leon Haslam and Gregorio Lavilla are hoping that this Black Mint menthol kick will give them the edge they need.
