BRITISH SPEEDWAY NEWS AND FIXTURES 17.9.04
17 September 2004 - British Speedway Promoters Association

LEIGH Adams has told Swindon he would like to stay with the club next season.

Adams, the top performer in the Elite League, has had a number of teams in recent seasons but now appears keen to stay with his hometown club. He said: ''I''ve enjoyed riding for Swindon again and I''d like to stay here next season to have some continuity, both for myself and the club.''

HOME rider Andre Compton is hoping to give Sheffield fans some late season cheer when he rides in the Premier League Riders'' Championship at Owlerton on Sunday. Tigers have been without skipper Sean Wilson for the majority of a troubled season. Compton said: ''It would be lovely to reward the fans and I know I can do it. I just hope I''m in that final and we''ll see what happens.''
