MINI BMF SHOW ON TRACK
07 September 2006 - BMF

16-17th September, East of England Showground, Peterborough

The BMF’s popular Tail End event, an end of season mini-BMF Show, is all set to end things on a high with top attractions and a unique party atmosphere too!

Proving a real hit with crowds is the spectacular racing of the UK Shorttrack Championships and Tail End will play host to round 9, the penultimate round, of both the Shorttrack Championship, currently headed by Lee Complin on a CCM and the Thunderbike Championship, currently headed by Marco Belli, appropriately enough on his thundering Harley Davidson!

Seen at the BMF Show for the first time in May, this new championship series has proven a hit with crowds throughout the UK and will be an exciting addition to the arena events.

For those wanting to ride a bike in less frenetic conditions, BMW will have their new R1200 R naked roadster boxer twin on display and not only that, test rides will be available as well as on a selection of other current models (conditions apply).

But this won’t be all, Jason Smyth''s Stunts and Moto-Stunt International will also bring exciting bike action to the arena as will regular favourites, the Moped Enduro and of course Vintage Speedway.

Away from the bike action, Tail End will also has over 250 trade, club and autojumble stalls and as it''s the last show of the season, many exhibitors will be offering top bargains to boot – and gloves and clothing, and helmets and etc! There’s also a fairground and plenty of activities for the kids and mobility scooter hire from Fair Mobility (www.fair-mobility.org.uk).

For campers, party action too has become a feature of Tail End with three live entertainment venues covering all tastes in music: The Bikers’ Barn will feature a range of rock from Led Zep to Queen. Bands confirmed are the ever-popular Strangers, plus Tilted Smile, Driver, Victims and a fabulous AC/DC tribute band - Live Wire. Rock ‘n’ Blues meanwhile will have firm favourites Dr A''s Blues Consortium; new comers The Daddy Longlegs and Peterborough locals and all round entertainers, The Blues Tubes. Classic & Vintage on the other hand will feature Bladerunner playing pop and rock from the decades from 60''s disco to 90''s anthems.

The campsite opens on Friday afternoon and the live music starts at 8pm and goes through ‘til midnight. Tail End camping is open to the public and allows two nights camping with live entertainment and two days entry into the show.
